Over 4 years in the making from over 100 developers this is the game that all petrolheads have been waiting for - Gran Turismo 5. This is the game that the PS3 was built for. The game looks stunning, and realistically stunning at the same time. Time will tell whether it drives as well as it looks as in my opinion the physics were pretty poor in Gran Turismo Prologue.

With 950 different cars that all look ultra realistic and full of detail Gran Turismo 5 looks set to be the ultimate driving game with even the ultimate driving machine the Bugatti Veyron making an appearance. As well as the stunning visuals the developers have listened to what gamers want and there should be fully realistic damage, 16 player online mode and dynamc weather and lighting, so you can race at night. The game will also include official licenses from Ferrari, WRC and Nascar.

Gran Turismo 5 will be released on 5th November 2010 hot on the heels of F1 2010 and hoping to take the title of top driving sim from iracing, however, personally I doubt that Gran Turismo will be able to compete with iracing.

This is no demo or spin-off, this is the game a lot of car enthusiast have been waiting for as GT5 will finally roll off the production line. The result of four years work by a team of hundreds, this is the game the PlayStation 3 was made for.

Every supercar is recreated in exacting detail according to the game designers and the damage modelling comes as standard this time around.

It goes without saying that the new game looks astonishing but the test will be to see if the beauty of Gran Turismo is met with realistic handling and physics. With the 950 different cars modelled to a higher degree of accuracy than ever before this also features more manufacturers than any other game - including, for the first time ever, Lamborghini and Bugatti.
