On November 18th the Wii is getting a proper BBC iPlayer application app with
built in Adobe Flash plus it's FREE!
It will be available for download for free at the Wii store and it will install as a dedicated Wii Channel.
The BBC have worked with Nintendo to develop this new service, altough it appears that live streams won't be available.
Due to the limited processing power and memory available on the Wii most effort went into optimising data requests,
reducing network traffic and balancing the remaining processing power available for video decoding with interface and
interaction features.
There's still no word on iPlayer for Xbox 360 but you can watch live Sky TV if you want to pay for it.

Nintendo Wii
The Nintendo Wii is pronounced "We" and it competes against the Xbox360 and the Playstation 3 although Nintendo
claim that the Wii targets a broader audience than the previously mentioned consoles. The Wii's remote control is
vastly different from any other console on the market. The Wii Remote is a hand-held pointing device that also
detects movement in 3D. The Nintendo Wii is now also available in Black.
Unlike the PS3 and the XBox360 the Wii does not play DVD discs. The Wii console is backward compatible with all
official Nintendo GameCube software, as well as Nintendo GameCube Memory Cards and controllers. The Wii is also
not an HD machine in that it only puts out pictures in 480p, 480i or 576i.
